I am offering one of the most important and elusive TAG Heuer timepieces ever made — the TAG Heuer S/EL Quartz Chronograph, reference S25.706C, produced between 1990 and 1993.
This particular example was purchased in Japan on October 11, 1993, and remained with its original owner until I acquired it in 2015. It has been part of my private collection ever since and has seen very limited wear. The watch underwent a complete service in August 2025, performed by my in-house Omega-certified watchmaker, and remains in outstanding, fully original condition. It retains its original leather strap from the date of purchase, in very good condition, suitable for a 20 cm wrist, and houses the precise Caliber 251.252. On the movement, you can clearly see the production marking “2.93”, indicating February 1993, matching perfectly with the watch’s original purchase date.
Offered as a complete full set, including the original outer box, presentation box, manual, and international guarantee booklet, all beautifully preserved — a rare find for this early reference.
This first-edition variant stands apart through several distinct details: a dial marked only “200 meters” (later models added “Professional”), unique placement of “T Swiss Made T,” and a laser-engraved case back “S25.706C” — later replaced by a simplified stamped version.
Produced in very limited quantities, likely in the low hundreds, this early configuration is believed to have been a special request from Ayrton Senna, who preferred the model on a leather strap rather than the original bracelet. Both Senna and Michael Schumacher were known to wear this reference, elevating it to legendary status among collectors.
A rare opportunity to acquire one of the most historically significant TAG Heuer S/EL Quartz Chronographs ever made — a genuine piece of motorsport and horological history.

Founded in 1860 by Edouard Heuer in Saint-Imier, Switzerland, TAG Heuer has always been driven by innovation, speed, and avant-garde design. From the racetrack to the wrist, TAG Heuer stands as a symbol of endurance, precision, and the spirit of competition. Today, headquartered in La Chaux-de-Fonds, the brand continues to push boundaries, blending Swiss craftsmanship with cutting-edge technology and a daring sense of style.
TAG Heuer’s revolutionary breakthroughs forever changed the world of watchmaking — beginning with the oscillating pinion, patented in 1887, a mechanism still used in chronographs today. In 1969, TAG Heuer introduced the Monaco, the world’s first automatic chronograph with a square waterproof case, immortalized on the wrist of Steve McQueen in the film Le Mans. The Carrera, launched in 1963, remains a legend among racing chronographs — a pure, functional design inspired by the dangerous Carrera Panamericana road race. The Autavia, originally created in 1933 for aviation and automobiles, evolved into a professional chronograph adored by adventurers and collectors alike.
Every TAG Heuer watch is built for those who live life in the fast lane — who value precision, innovation, and bold design. To own a TAG Heuer is to embrace a legacy of performance and passion; it’s a statement of confidence, energy, and timeless Swiss excellence that beats with the heart of motorsport.
