Offered for sale is an exceptionally preserved and highly collectible Porsche Design by IWC Compass Moon Phases reference 3551, one of the most unusual and technically fascinating watches ever produced during the legendary collaboration between Porsche Design and IWC in the late 1980s and early 1990s. With its minimalist Bauhaus-inspired design, hidden compass construction and moon phase complication, the Ref. 3551 remains one of the most iconic neo-vintage Porsche Design watches ever made.

This watch is preserved in beautiful New Old Stock / unworn condition, showing only minimal storage signs of wear accumulated over decades of careful storage. The black coated case and bracelet are exceptionally well preserved — something very rarely seen on these models today, as most examples on the market show significant wear.

The watch was fully serviced by our in-house certified watchmaker on 06.05.2026 and is functioning perfectly. With the watch comes our PW Service Certificate together with PW Certificate of Authenticity.

The watch comes as a beautiful full set, including its original leather presentation box, original Porsche Design screwdriver, original International Guarantee Card, and original bracelet, which is suitable for a wrist size up to 19 cm.

Powered by the automatic IWC Caliber 375, the watch features an integrated concealed compass beneath the hinged double-case construction, along with moon phase and date complications. According to the case and movement serial numbers, the watch is circa 1990–1991 production.

Buyers are responsible for any duties and taxes for watches shipped internationally (outside the EU). We do not ship on weekends. For security, delivery is made only to the person named on the order. A valid ID and the tracking number, provided prior to shipping, will be required upon receipt.

Watches are eligible for return or refund within 14 days from the date the package is delivered. All returned watches will be thoroughly inspected for any signs of wear, tear, or damage. Any such signs may negatively impact the customer’s refund. Refunds are issued to the original payment method used at the time of purchase. All watches are delivered with a transparent protective tape and a secure seal that does not obstruct inspection of the watch. If the tape is removed or the seal is broken, returns will not be accepted. In the unlikely event that a return package goes missing during transit, insurance claims will be processed, and a refund will be issued only upon completion of the insurance claim.

Our warranty covers defects in materials and workmanship under normal use. It does not cover water or moisture damage, natural wear and tear, accidental damage, or issues caused by misuse or improper handling. The warranty also excludes external components such as the bracelet, glass, dial, hands, pushers, crown, and bezel, as well as any work performed by unauthorized service providers.

While we take every measure to ensure reliability, water resistance is not guaranteed on vintage watches, unless explicitly stated in writing.
