A true milestone in horological history, the Omega Seamaster Electronic f300Hz Ref. 198.0016, affectionately nicknamed the “Hummer,” represents Omega’s bold technological leap of the early 1970s. Produced only between 1972 and 1974, this watch belongs to the first series, confirmed by its serial number, making it especially sought after by collectors of experimental and transitional-era timepieces.
Developed during the tuning-fork revolution, this Seamaster is powered by the Omega Caliber 1250 (ESA 9162 base), an electronic tuning-fork movement created in collaboration with Bulova. Operating at 300 Hz, it delivers exceptional accuracy for its time and the unmistakable smooth sweeping seconds hand accompanied by a gentle humming sound—a signature trait that defines the f300Hz legend.
This example is offered in very good condition. On 08.01.2026, it was fully checked by our in-house watchmaker and fitted with a new battery, ensuring correct and stable operation. The silver dial is in excellent condition, complemented by an original bezel insert and original crown.
The watch comes with its original Omega box with Electronic f300 label and the “Omega f300 Chronomètre Certifié Officiellement” booklet. It is fitted with the original Omega bracelet ref. 1125, suitable for wrists up to 20 cm. Importantly, this reference does not feature an integrated bracelet, allowing versatile wear on leather or alternative straps—one of the reasons it is particularly valued.
A rare opportunity to acquire an authentic first-series f300Hz Seamaster—historic, distinctive, and increasingly collectible.

Founded in 1848 by Louis Brandt in La Chaux-de-Fonds, Switzerland, Omega has become one of the most celebrated names in the history of watchmaking. Now headquartered in Biel/Bienne, Omega continues to represent the perfect fusion of Swiss craftsmanship, pioneering spirit, and timeless design. Each Omega timepiece is a testament to excellence — worn by explorers, astronauts, athletes, and visionaries who trust only the very best.
The Seamaster, introduced in 1948, embodies elegance and endurance, designed for those who venture beneath the waves and beyond — including the world’s most famous secret agent, James Bond. The Aqua Terra brings together maritime heritage and refined sophistication, making it a perfect balance of sport and style. And the legendary Speedmaster, launched in 1957, became the first watch worn on the Moon, accompanying NASA astronauts during the historic Apollo 11 mission in 1969.
To wear an Omega is to carry a piece of history — a symbol of achievement, adventure, and precision. Each watch reflects more than 175 years of horological mastery, created for those who appreciate innovation, authenticity, and the enduring beauty of true Swiss luxury.
