An exceptional and highly collectible TAG Heuer S.25706C First Edition, representing the earliest and rarest execution of this iconic Formula 1 chronograph, produced approximately between 1990 and 1993. Among collectors this version is often referred to as the First Edition or “Prototype.”
This early variant is easily distinguished by several unique details: the dial features only “200 meters” without the later “Professional” text, the placement of “T Swiss Made T” differs, and the case back is laser engraved “S25.706C.” Later versions were simplified with “S25.706” stamped below the TAG Heuer logo to reduce production costs.
According to collector research, the first edition was produced in very small numbers, likely in the low hundreds, with fewer than 100 pieces believed to remain today. It is widely rumored that the model was produced following a special request from Ayrton Senna, who preferred wearing this watch on a leather strap rather than the steel bracelet. Both Ayrton Senna and Michael Schumacher were known to wear this reference.
According to the movement date, this watch was manufactured in 1993 and later sold in Italy on November 10, 1994.
The watch is in outstanding, fully original condition, retaining its original leather strap from 1993 with minimal signs of wear. It is powered by the reliable ETA 251.252 quartz chronograph movement.
Offered as a Full Set with original outer box, presentation box, manual, and international guarantee booklet, and suitable for wrist sizes up to 21 cm.
A rare opportunity to acquire one of the most collectible TAG Heuer Formula 1 chronographs ever produced.

Founded in 1860 by Edouard Heuer in Saint-Imier, Switzerland, TAG Heuer has always been driven by innovation, speed, and avant-garde design. From the racetrack to the wrist, TAG Heuer stands as a symbol of endurance, precision, and the spirit of competition. Today, headquartered in La Chaux-de-Fonds, the brand continues to push boundaries, blending Swiss craftsmanship with cutting-edge technology and a daring sense of style.
TAG Heuer’s revolutionary breakthroughs forever changed the world of watchmaking — beginning with the oscillating pinion, patented in 1887, a mechanism still used in chronographs today. In 1969, TAG Heuer introduced the Monaco, the world’s first automatic chronograph with a square waterproof case, immortalized on the wrist of Steve McQueen in the film Le Mans. The Carrera, launched in 1963, remains a legend among racing chronographs — a pure, functional design inspired by the dangerous Carrera Panamericana road race. The Autavia, originally created in 1933 for aviation and automobiles, evolved into a professional chronograph adored by adventurers and collectors alike.
Every TAG Heuer watch is built for those who live life in the fast lane — who value precision, innovation, and bold design. To own a TAG Heuer is to embrace a legacy of performance and passion; it’s a statement of confidence, energy, and timeless Swiss excellence that beats with the heart of motorsport.
